Prabupada Museum and Reading Room
His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada arrived in South Africa in October 1975. The Prabhupada Museum is a testimony to the extraordinary achievements of Prabhupada both in South Africa and abroad.
We are in the process of developing a library of Devotional and Vedic Literature for the proposed Reading Room. We hope to promote the spiritual glories of India and sanatana-dharma ('eternal religion' of the soul in relation to Krishna or God).
Food for Life
ISKCON Food For Life is Vedic City's principle outreach programme. It is a project that focusses entirely on historically-disadvantaged and impoverished peoples in black areas such as Soweto, Mamelodi, Alexandra Township and the Johannesburg Inner City. Food For Life distributes free vegetarian meals that nourish both the body and the soul.
